About Arran

Hi, I am Arran Coole, founder of ASP. ASP, now in it's 11th year, builds and manages over 250 event websites a year.

I occasionally contribute articles to the industry press writing from the perspective that digital marketing supports face-to-face events and can be considered a friend not a foe.

ASP is very dedicated to the events industry and we sponsor many events: AEO Conference, AEO Awards, the Marketing Forum, Directors Forum and also the IAEE SW Chapter Annual Cocktail drinks at Expo Expo.

ASP is not a company to sit still, in addition to the many events websites we do we are branching into new areas such as publications and directory websites.

I didn't have the opportunity to read the article...but...(being a B2B show director for 10 years, a past exhibitor, and a former buyer all at the same trade show) I see very few of our attendee/buyers "vacationing" at our event. The average buyer...

Having an event in a nice location comes down to accommodating the participants.....at these events you have to full speed ahead with the networking/buying/selling/marketing/making connections/meeting point people....and that will wear you out at ...

Yes, I agree! Having events in holiday locations is the least one can do for the thousands of participants who are spending so much money to come and stay in that location. I love conference events, but they can wear people out; therefore, having ...

10th Birthday Party!

Well the event went off without a hitch! What a great venue and great staff too. Lot's of yorkshire pudding with beef and horseradish sauce was eaten along with lambs chops. The Great British buffet! Here's to the ASP cocktail!

The Great ASP Road Trip

Phew - in a bid to save both money and CO2 emissions, we've just been on a trip from Las Vegas to Dallas and Austin in our new company car - A Totoyta Prius Electric Hybrid. Flying would have meant 1 tonne of CO2 and $1,000 plus a rental car anyhow. Driving costs $200 in gas (petrol to you Brits!) and half the pollution. Ok so driving 3,000 miles took some time but we stopped and looked at the Hoover Dam, the meteor crater, Roswell and a pretified forest along the way.

The combination of news content and f-2-f.

I'm very impressed with a new website we've built (well I would be wouldn't I!). This is for a show, which although the content may not be for everyone, has an excellent online presence.
