Add what I DID, to what you DO, as an exhibitor value-added that generates high-margin $$$.

You may have heard of my company www.leadstosales.com You may have heard of me personally www.richarderschik.com You can also GOOGLE my name RICHARD ERSCHIK, for more information about my personal experience and involvement in the trade show industry. I founded my company in 1986. Now, having recently reached semi-retirement age, I personally want to do more consulting, speaking and training in the specific area of effective sales lead management -- as it applies to proving to exhibitors that… Continue

EMS-08: Were You There?

Hey all – Was anyone else in Chicago last week for EMS-08? I’ve been back a few days now, and am (almost) fully recovered from 3 jam-packed days of conference sessions, exhibit floor time and networking receptions. I don’t think I’ve been that tightly scheduled since summer camp, but it was a really great time. Some of my favorite parts: Getting to meet my EventCrowd contacts in person (hi Christopher!!) – I think the whole point of sites like these is to move past leaving notes on each… Continue

Within that same year I developed and produced an event that today after 28 years is recognized worldwide and the biggest on the east coast of the US. It was a great start into… Continue

The power of positive programming & being brave

Inspiration comes in all sizes. Big, small, wide, short, old, tall, fat, young, thin, medium build. It can be distant, detached, a piece of art, close, emotional, a book, a song, a passing comment, an idea, an experience, it can also be expected, and even better unexpected. My daughter went into hospital last week for an operation on both of her eyes. I know, it sounds dramatic. She is only 4 1/2. Her name is Daisy. She is quite a character and a little bit feisty, like her mummy. We didn’t wa… Continue

My Take from the Floor @ASI Las Vegas

I just got back from the ASI Show at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) is the association for promotional products – all of the pens, mugs, and shirts you see handed out with logos on them. This show was the place for the makers of all this swag to show off their latest and greatest. Some observations: Booth Design (or lack of) – Coming from an exhibit design firm, where I am constantly looking at innovative and creative new designs, it c… Continue
